How to add a reply option to blogger comments? Since the default blogger blog comments don't have a reply option to an individual comment, some of bloggers have used a third party like disqus or other third parties just to have a reply option for their blog comments.
Perhaps, one of the reasons why they've used the third party just to add a reply option is because they don't know how to enable reply option to their blog comments or they might be more interested in using the other third party to use that one, though they actually know how.
For you, beginers like me who want to have a reply option to your blogger blog comments but don't know how to configure it, know I'll let you know here.
This blogger tips was originally posted in thisischen.com and the tutorial is really easy to follow, you will have a reply option enabled to your blog comments in just 3 steps.
Here's the tutorial that you can do to add a reply option to your blog comments like the ScreenShot below:
- In your dashboard, click 'Design' > 'Edit Html'> Check the 'Expand Widget Templates' check box.
- Find the following code in your blog's template :<data:commentPostedByMsg/>
(Press Ctrl+F for easier help) - Paste the following code right after the code mentioned above (#2):<span class='comment-reply'><a expr:href='"https://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=YOUR-BLOG-ID&postID=" + data:post.id + "&isPopup=true&postBody=%40%3C%61%20%68%72%65%66%3D%22%23" + data:comment.anchorName + "%22%3E" + data:comment.author + "%3C%2F%61%3E#form"' onclick='javascript:window.open(this.href, "bloggerPopup", "toolbar=0,location=0,statusbar=1,menubar=0,scrollbars=yes,width=400,height=450"); return false;'>[Reply to comment]</a></span>
Notes:
Replace the red code: YOUR-BLOG-ID with your original BLOG ID.
You can find your Blogger blogID from your layout page, posting page or any of the pages you access from your dashboard and copy your blogID from the address bar shown at the top of the page.
Your BlogID is the number that appears in the URL - This is how your blogID will be displayed within the URL :
https://www.blogger.com/rearrange?blogID=3678045378800853473
The number which is marked with the red color in your blogID's URL (found in layout page - the address bar) is your original blogID.
Once you've got the original blogID, simply add it and save to your template.
Let's see the changes that will come up by clicking one of your blog posts and look at the existing comments there.
Great! The reply option in your blog comments is now enabled.

BalasHapusBy the way... gotta give this feedback... the two image captcha thingy is just a bit too irritating because one of the images is highly blurred.
Maybe you can check if there is some way that you can switch to a different captcha code, so that it might be easier on the eyes for your readers??
